Courtesy of Ryan Christoff, here are some more photos of Isidro Fabré and Juan Padrón. First, a fantastic photograph of Isidro Fabré in an Almendares cap and Cuban Stars sweater:
Second, here are the 1921 New York Cuban Stars, with Fabré and Padrón the last two players standing in the back row on the right (note how much taller Padrón is; click on the picture to enlarge):
Kneeling or sitting L to R: Mario Borroto, Recurvon Terán, Tatica Campos, Juanelo Mirabal, Alejandro Oms, Oscar Levis, Julián Fabelo.
And here’s a detail of Fabré and Padrón:
Padron played in Fort Wayne, IN in 1934 with the integrated Berghoff Beer team. Berghoff was based out of Fort Wayne. They were big sports sponsors. They announced before the season they were going to have a integrated team using negro league players. Joe Scott also joined that team.

Hi!
I know this is an old post so I’m not sure if you will see this. But Isidro Fabré is my great grandfather on my mothers side. Thank you so much for posting these photos of him. I have some of him with my grandmother when she was an infant. But that’s about it.
