Albert, thanks. Yes, you're certainly correct--the James with the Royal Giants in Cuba in fall 1908 was probably Augustus "Gus" James and not William "Knucks/Nux" James. I compiled those stats several years ago when I didn't realize they were two different people, and have never corrected it.

I congratulate you on your database and would like to point out a possible error.I do not believe Knucks James played with Brooklyn Royal Giants in 1908. I believe it was Gus James.Figuereda says it was Gus James.Peterson said Knucks and Gus were two different players Riley and Holway said they wer the same. Database says they are different. Knucks was 2b-3b played for Brooklyn Royal in 1907 and joined Philadelphia Gus was catcher.
