Agate Type will continue as always, of course. But the OBB will be the place to look for more sustained and in-depth discussions of the margins of baseball history. Some of the pieces I’m working on will cover (among many subjects):
--Pete Hill’s remarkable 1919 season, when he helped to inaugurate the lively-ball era in black baseball;
--the peculiar (and possibly corrupt) scorekeeping practices of the Cuban League of the 1900s;
--obscure Negro-league connections with 1) modern pro wrestling and 2) the Lindbergh baby kidnapping.
