venezuelans rock the facebook

These are the most popular baseball teams on Facebook, according to the numbers of fans each team’s page has:

1. New York Yankees 150,047 fans
2. Chicago Cubs 90,494
3. Boston Red Sox 70,771
4. Navegantes del Magallanes (Valencia, Venezuela) 69,371
5. Philadelphia Phillies 36,710

Actually, only a few days ago los Navegantes were ahead of Boston. Things move fast on Facebook, though, and now I am deprived of the title I was going to give the post (“Sorry, Red Sox Nation!”).

The most popular of all sports teams in the Facebook world is Istanbul’s Fenerbahçe football (soccer) club, with 427,946 fans. Sorry, Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus, etc.!
