Here are the statistics for the Fall 1905 visit of the Cuban X-Giants to Havana. They faced the Cuban League’s three standard clubs, winning five of nine this time. Almendares is here called the “All Cubans,” the name under which the club had just toured North America. José Muñoz was loaned to Fe for much of the series.

By the way: while each of these Negro League series in Cuba, by itself, doesn’t amount to much, in the aggregate they add quite a bit to the records of black North American players. Clarence Williams, for example, whose career started out in the 1880s with the original Cuban Giants, the first famous black professional team, played over 50 games in the American Series, all documented in box scores. It’s a precise statistical portrait you don’t get anywhere else.
